Christmas Day
This was my first Christmas without a Christmas tree. It's been a big part of my family bonding to decorate the tree. The family and I agreed that it left a small part of emptiness in our hearts, and took away a large part of our holiday spirit. The only reason we weren't able to get a tree this year was due to the fact that we were moving into our new home. I'm positive that we will never go another year without a tree, at least we won't while I'm still living there.

I understand how you feel. I've never gone without a Christmas Tree but we do put up a fake tree. It does have a sour feeling because it's not real but hey at least your with family.
ReplyDeleteMy wife insisted we get a tree, even though we weren't going to be around for Christmas. We cut it down ourselves in Half Moon Bay. You can get a huge tree for much less than the lots in the city. The smell in the apt is great. But taking it down is always sad, it's like a dream unraveling slowly with every decoration you take off. For 11 months, at least...
